What is coming in RaceRoom's 'Driver Pack'?

Updated: Jul 20, 2023

We've all been there. Seeing our dream car, modelled in our favourite sim, and deciding that this should be the first car you should drive, despite its challenging handling that even advanced sim racers would struggle to tame. You drive out the pits, enjoying this new feeling until you reach the first corner. You downshift, then apply a sludge of power as you leave on the corner exit, too much. The car spins, and you feel burnt out and disheartened already. Don't deny it, we've all been there; I'll own up, I have: The Saleen S7R was a proper supercar from my childhood, but it certainly wasn't easy to drive, especially while on keyboard!

RaceRoom announced their annual 'big December update' (last year it was the game-changing FFB update, the year before the Audi R8 Pack & Bathurst) a few days ago, and this year, it comes in the shape of the 'Driver's Pack.' Supposedly, these cars (and track!) won't be the fastest or the most technical, but the most fun.

The pack will include the iconic MX-5, two modernised classics from small race manufacturer Crosslé, the Praga R1 (inc. Goldie, the car that brought Jimmy Broadbent and Gordie Mutch their first title), and Charade, a french track that is also Crosslé's test circuit.

No other information has been released so far about this new content, but as it is released we will keep you informed and will hyperlink the respective cars when more information is released.
