Formula 1 has dramatically increased in popularity recently, much due to popular dramatized F1 programme Drive to Survive. This new show captured the interests of millions, and viewer count increased dramatically, however to watch F1 on official TV channel can (and is) very expensive - especially in the UK! - and so some of us have to watch F1 on some less than legal websites in order to get our F1 fix. These websites listed below will hopefully help you watch F1 without having to pay.
Hesgoal was originally made for watching football live, but has branched out into F1 and all feeder series. It will livestream all sessions, however does have some...dubious...adverts, so we would recommend viewer discretion if not watching in fullscreen. However, you can only watch it live, as it does not have the capability to watch sessions or the race back after it has finished. It is a FoxSports stream for Australia, so has Martin Brundle and Crofty as the commentators.
Vidplay is a devoted F1 livestream website, that is a lot more complete and less dodgy than Hesgoal. It has all sessions, same as above, but also has the option to watch the race after it has commenced, which can incredibly helpful in reminiscing in older races, or simply watching them later because you were busy when it was live. The only drawback is that it does not use the SkySports commentators, so if you really need Brundle and Crofty to enjoy the race, hesgoal.com may be a better option.
Using a VPN
Not satisfied with these streams? There is a workaround to this, using a VPN. Luxembourg stream F1 for free (officially) and therefore if you plant your VPN there, you can watch it for free, (slightly) more legally.
