
Ferrari and racing just go together, don’t they. Whether it’s F1 or sportscar racing, you can nearly always expect to see at least one car in red.
The GT3 series has gradually increased its audience in recent years, and Ferrari are not new to this scene. First with the 458, then the 488, Ferrari have enjoyed huge success within GT racing: the 488 alone is one of the most successful GT3 cars. Period.

The announcing of a GT3 version of their new 296 road car was to be expected. Pictures and videos of a prototype 296 GT3 testing at Fiorano circled YouTube a couple of months back. According to Ferrari themselves, it is based of the new road legal 296 GTB, sharing the 2.9L V6 with its twin, however is without the electric assistance. It has 600BHP and 712NM of torque although this obviously subject to change with BOP.
