The Bentley W12 has powered over 100,000 cars over it's 20 year reign. However, the long lived 6.0 twin turbo engine will end in April 2024.
The cut to their most iconic engine is due to, you guessed it: CO2 fleet emissions.
However, the powerplant from Crewe won't be ending quietly. A limited edition of just 18 Bentley Batur's are being produced, and before you ask - they're all accounted for. The final car powered by the almost dinosaur W12 will be released in 2024. It will produce the highest PS and torque of any W12 Bentley produced to date: 750PS and 1,000NM of torque; it certainly won't be a slouch

Bentley's Chairman and Chief Executive Adrian Hallmark said:
“Our progressive journey towards sustainable luxury mobility means making changes to every area of Bentley Motors. When we first launched the W12 back in 2003, we knew we had a mighty engine that would propel both our cars and the brand forwards at speed. 20 years and more than 100,000 W12s later, the time has come to retire this now-iconic powertrain as we take strides towards electrification – but not without giving it the best send-off possible, with the most powerful version of the engine ever created"
